As the curtains closed on Horizon, the annual mega fest organized by ISTE VIT, I found myself reflecting on the whirlwind of events, interactions, and learnings that unfolded over the course of the festivities. Serving as the Technical Coordinator for this grand affair was both an honor and a challenge, but it was an experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Horizon was not just any ordinary tech fest; it was a convergence of innovation, education, and collaboration. With over 6 events spanning diverse domains such as blockchain, web development, and machine learning, our aim was clear: to provide students with a platform to explore, learn, and grow. Each event was meticulously crafted to offer insights, hands-on experience, and opportunities for networking.

One of the highlights of Horizon was the lineup of guest lectures from industry leaders who are top CEOs in their respective fields. Their wisdom, experience, and insights added immense value to the fest, inspiring and motivating participants to aim for the stars. It was truly a privilege to be in the presence of such trailblazers and to absorb their knowledge firsthand.

With over 1000 footfalls throughout the fest, the energy and enthusiasm were palpable. As the Technical Coordinator, I had the pleasure of overseeing the smooth execution of each event, ensuring that everything ran like clockwork. From managing logistics to troubleshooting technical glitches, every moment presented a new challenge to overcome and an opportunity to excel.

But Horizon wasn’t just about the events; it was also about community and camaraderie. Our marketing rally, where we traversed the VIT campus to promote the fest and encourage registrations, was a testament to the power of teamwork and collective effort. Meeting people from all walks of life, from industry leaders to passionate students, provided me with invaluable insights into human behavior and the varying interests and passions that drive us.

In hindsight, my time as Technical Coordinator at Horizon was nothing short of transformative. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, tested my abilities, and taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and resilience.
